Pansy (Viola tricoloris herba) 50 g
Gentle help for stressed skin
Our grandmothers already knew: Pansies are not only lovely to look at but they hold quite a few benefits for our health. And indeed this herb has a lot to offer especially when it comes to various skin conditions. With its content of different salicylates, which are all closely related to acetylsalicylic acid better known as aspirin, the pretty plant has been shown to ease all kinds of superficial skin inflammations. Regardless of whether we suffer from relentless itching, dandruff, eczema or acne, pansy will be there to help. Even for our youngest, who suffer from nasty cradle cap, pansy can make a difference. Another advantage of the herb is, that it can be applied both internally and externally and overall being very safe to use.
In addition to salicylates, there are other ingredients such as the flavonoids rutin and violanthin, which are able to keep the oxidative damage from inflammation under control.
