Contractubex® Gel is prescribed for movement-restricting, hypertrophic, keloidal and cosmetically disfiguring scars after operations, amputations, burns and accidents such as contractures e.g. of the fingers (Dupuytren's contracture) traumatic tendon contracture, and cicatricial strictures. The product has a growth-inhibiting, anti-inflammatory and soothing effect on the scar tissue.
Ingredients (100 g gel):
Extract. Cepae Fluid 10,0, Allantoin 1,0 and Heparin sodium 5000 IE
Other ingredients: methyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, sorbic acid, macrogol 200, xanthan gum, purified water
Recommendation:
Unless otherwise prescribed, massage the gel gently into the scar tissue several times a day. If the scars are old, use under a bandage overnight. Depending on the extent and thickness of the scar, the treatment can take several weeks or months.
Warnings:
Especially when treating fresh scars, you should avoid extreme cold, warmth, UV radiation or a strong pressure (e.g. excessive massage).
Only start using after wound closure
Do not use on mucous membranes
Local skin reactions are expected to occur in only rare cases (e.g. itching, redness, visible enlargement of the skin vessels hyperpigmentation, thinning of the skin, dermatitis)
Don’t use if you are allergic or sensitive to any of the ingredients
Don’t use on children under 1 year of age
Keep out of the reach of children
Store in a cool and dry place

Once opened the shelf-life is 6 months
