Colibiogen^® is a cell- and protein-free preparation obtained from the metabolic products of the Escherichia coli strain Laves.
Colibiogen^® is a mucous membrane therapeutic with anti-inflammatory and immunoregulatory effects. The site of action is the mucosa as immunological unit.

As it contains no living organisms, it is not a means of symbiotic control and therefore not used for direct build-up of the bacterial flora of the intestine. However, a healthy mucosa is an important prerequisite for the natural bacterial flora to settle there.

Colibiogen^® can help an inflamed intestinal mucosa to regenerate. It therefore acts as a mucosal and immune therapeutic.

Colibiogen^® oral is used as an immune therapeutic, in intestinal diseases, allergies and for supporting treatment in tumour and antibiotic therapy.

Areas of application:
Enteritis; colitis, including Crohn's disease and radiogenic colitis; dyspepsia; irritable bowel syndrome; painful diverticular disease; for rehabilitation after antibiotics, chemotherapy and radiotherapy; for supportive treatment of endogenous stress on the intestinal wall, skin allergies and bowel-related skin disorders: Polymorphic light eruption (sun allergy), atopic eczema; hay fever; rheumatic disorders; arthritic diseases

Active agent:
Cell-free solution of lysed Escherichia coli, strain Laves

Composition:
1 ml contains: Cell-free solution of 2.3 × 10⁸ lysed Escherichia coli, strain Laves. List of excipients: Sucrose (sugar), glucose, sodium chloride, sodium benzoate (E 211), citric acid, amino acids, orange flavour, 4,8 % ethanol (v/v) and purified water.

Recommended use:
1x per day (morning) take 5 ml (1 teaspoon); in serious cases up to 3x daily 5 ml; 1/2 h before food
