Dandelion stimulates the flow of bile, stimulates the appetite, supports the liver, and aids digestion, especially fat digestion. In folk medicine, dandelion is considered a blood purifier and is used as a mild laxative for the treatment of gout and rheumatism as well as eczema and other skin diseases.
Use:
unless otherwise prescribed 1 tablespoon per cup of boiling water
Warnings:
Don’t use in case of obstruction of the bile ducts, gallbladder empyema, ileus
Side Effects:
As with all herbs containing bitter substances, superacidic stomach disorders can occur
